I love the rock and roll that Dick Clark popularized, and I just found out that I love his house in Malibu, too. Clark’s home in the Santa Monica Mountains, so blends with the environment, that you have to look twice at some of the photos…is that natural rock or man-made material?
Now this cavelike home is for sale and photos of it are on the internet, so I can share them with you.
Maybe Fred and Wilma would be interested in buying, and if not, Betty and Barney…

I always thought that most men (at least my DH) would be happy living in a cave. I just never imagined that it would come at a cost of $3.5M.

The Realestalker Blog had an article in March on the house – “Dick Clark Says So Long to Remote Malibu Hideaway” – with many photos:

The house is made of concrete….made to look like stone in order to get permission to build from the Coastal Commission. It sits atop a significant ridgeline…..would not be buildable under current regulations today.
