I loved a 6-14 article in the LA Times about Eric Brightwell, who draws maps of SoCal neighborhoods, using markers on small sheets of colored paper. The article reported that Brightwell had just created his 118th map, and has quite a number of fans of his work.
Each map is unique, with its own font. The mapmaker sells the maps in his shop in Silver Lake, and has a blog (which I couldn’t find) according to the LA times article. But, I did find the Facebook page for the maps, under the name, Pednersleigh & Sons Cartography. I am going to ask Brightwell on Facebook, if he has drawn any maps for the Conejo Valley, and I will share his answer.
