A petition drive failed for lack of enough valid signatures, that would have let voters weigh in on a retail/restaurant development in Westlake Village. This is according to a 4-14 article by Rachel McGrath in the VC Star.
The new mall will be located behind Costco on Russell Ranch Road, and will include a Target. Dan Selleck of Selleck Development Group said in the article that March, 2014, is the projected opening date.
I am pleased! It will be so handy to have a Target convenient to shoppers in the east Conejo Valley! Right now, it is such a trek, either to the Newbury Park store, or the Woodland Hills store.
