OK, it doesn’t quite have the ring of, “Why did the chicken cross the street?” However, I am always surprised to see a coyote or two crossing a suburban street during the day, and wonder why. That happened this morning at 7:30, as I was driving on Doubletree in Oak Park. Two coyotes crossed the street in front of my vehicle, and ambled downhill in open space, but toward more homes, instead of toward the hills.
