Camarillo Hearing on Tuesday for Large Proposed Development at Bottom of Conejo Grade

September 16th, 2012 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Our neighbors to the north of the Conejo Valley are considering, this week, a a proposed residential and industrial project that would impact traffic on the 101 freeway.  According to an email from SOAR (Save Open Spaces and Agricultural Resources), a hearing on a proposed massive Conejo Creek project is happening on Tuesday, September 18, 7:30 PM at the Camarillo City Hall.
The project would build 2,500 residences, plus 100+ acres of industrial development on 740 acres of prime farmland at the base of the Conejo Grad, the SOAR email said.   The Camarillo Planning Commission will be hearing comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the project at this hearing.  This is a major step leading up to the final City Council vote on the project, which will likely take place next spring.

For more information about the hearing and the project go to: Camarillo Sustainable Growth.  Soar’s website is:  SOAR.  Photo taken 11-2011.
