Wow! I’ve never seen so many hooded orioles at one time.

They could also be Bullock’s and more common than you would think. You just have to stop, listen and watch. Mid-August is a great time to watch the feeders while the young are filling up and frolicking before their flight south. April (and my oriole-colored iris’) will signal their return. If you have palm trees, it’s a good idea to have the trimming done well before their return as the spent fronds are a favorite nesting site.
