State Continues SSFL Talks with Boeing

October 14th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

The Conejo Post has reported previously that the Rocketdyne draft cleanup agreement that the California Department of Toxic Substances (DTSC) recently released to the public for comment, did not include Boeing, the largest Rocketdyne landowner.

Today, an article in the Ventura County Star says that the state has extended a deadline from today, to February 15, that would allow Boeing to file a lawsuit against the California cleanup standards.  On the surface, that sounds like a bad thing, but I have heard from activists I talk to, that NASA and the U.S. Department of Energy, already have that right, and they are the other 2 entities, along with the state, in the cleanup agreement.
