It feels good to be back home in the Conejo Valley, after celebrating Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with family.
What an amazing place Vegas is! Walking through the Bellagio, Palazzo or Venetian and admiring the beauty of the lobbies, including artwork, fountains, waterfalls, and plantings, I had to remind myself that the purpose of casinos is to make as much money as possible from visitors. Â
The line between reality and fantasy gets a little blurry there, when it feels like you are walking through a Renaissance palace, looking up at a high vaulted celing with paintings of Michelangelo, and you are actually in the middle of the Nevada desert in a resort that isn’t even ten years old!
I am thankful to be back on the terra firma of the Conejo again!
