Mary today, (3-27) to the yahoo group, Rocketdyne Information Society, and I quote with her permission:
“Save Open Space supported a Rocketdyne Community Action Group (CAG) so that there would be independent experts/consultants making sure that the cleanup studies are accurate and that the cleanup is done right.
Our (SOS) comments to the various Santa Susana Field Lab (SSFL) groups that (underground) fractures and faults (by the SSFL) act as conduits for toxics to move to the groundwaters and valleys below the SSFL hill, are being ignored. The misleading geology assumptions by the responsible party’s (Boeing) consultants that the faults and fractures act as retards, are not being corrected by DTSC.
SOS concerns are again not being answered by this DTSC decision against allowing a CAG. This CAG was legally petitioned for under DTSC law.
CAGs hire independent experts and only then will we get unbiased information on the clean up studies now being done by the responsible party’s consultants. Who is really behind this effort to stop our CAG? Did the people who signed the anti-CAG petition really know that (this action) helps the polluter? ”
