I know, the event was billed as an Easter Egg Hunt put on by the Rancho Simi Rec and Park District at Mae Boyar Park in Oak Park this morning (3-3), but I am going to have to challenge the title. A fun time was had by all the kids, but there was no hunting eggs involved, since the plastic eggs sat on the grass in plain sight.Â
It was, “Join in the countdown from 3 to 1,” then dive under the yellow tape delineating the egg area, and start picking them up. A few minutes later, there was not an egg in sight, except in kids’ buckets.
Actually, I had fun too, watching the kids, my granddaugther included, and then strolling through the crafts booths.
