The three surfers were chatting in front of where I was sitting on the beach, this morning. They were having fun sticking their boards upright in the sand, and one even flipped his board in the air and had it land on its point in the sand and remain standing.
Then, they walked on, boards underarm, to survey the surf, as you see in the photo. It is like you could almost hear them thinking…”Hey Dude, where are the waves better? Which way should we go?” After I took this photo, they decided. The two on the left went to the left, and the one on the right, joined the fourth surfer of the group, and went to the right.
Dude, in making a decision, sometimes you just have to go with the flow, as these surfers did!

Surfing is such a great sport because so many of lifes lessons parallel the activity. In this case, patience must be observed. These surfers know that if they wait it out until the next set of waves, catching a big one is just around the corner. Another lesson that surfers get the privledge of learning is the importance of protecting our marine life by preserving the quality of our ocean water. Bad water quality = no surfing – LET’S PROTECT OUR BEACHES!!!
