My friend, John, and I were chatting yesterday about today’s election. He said how much he liked to go to the polls and vote in person, and I so agreed with him!
When I go to vote, I feel a very deep appreciation for my country and my right to vote. It is akin to patriotic feelings that come from viewing the flag rippling in the wind, or hearing “America the Beautiful” played on the fourth of July, but it is a quieter and deeper.
I will head to the polls shortly and vote, and then proudly wear the little sticker that says, “I voted.” Have a great day, and may the best candidates win!

I am reminded of my great-grandmother, a suffragist. “It does not matter how you vote, just vote.”
This is so true today as it was generations ago. The right to vote was one that previous generations fought long and hard to get. Please don’t take that right for granted. JUST VOTE.
