On the agenda for the meeting of the Thousand Oaks city council tonight (7-13), is the possible expansion of Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center. Various zoning changes would allow for a fourth floor of the hospital to be built, as well as a parking structure at the northest corner of Janns and Lynn Roads. The city council meeting starts at 6 PM at the T.O. Civic Arts Plaza and the Los Robles Hospital topic is Item 8 on the agenda. I find it interesting that Los Robles has the money to invest in expanding this parcel causing an ever increasing congested for-profit mess. Expanding this site does nothing for those of us who live in the East Conejo Valley. No matter how many floors that they add to this parcel. Those of us who live in Oak Park have to travel 17 miles for a four hour wait in the emergency room. I do not understand the need for this expansion when they cannot handle to current level of need.
