You may not know his name, but you very likely have heard of his friend, the famous director, who cast him in several large films
British actor Henry Wilcoxon was plucked from obscurity by famed director Cecil B. DeMille, to play Marc Anthony opposite Claduette Colbert in “Cleopatra” (1934). Wilcoxon alsappeared in DeMille’s “The Ten Commandments,” “The Greatest Story Ever Told,” “The Crusades” and “Samson and Delilah.” While filming the “Last of the Mohicans” in Triunfo Canyon, Wilcoxon fell in love with the area and bought a property that he called Seven Oaks. Of all the places around the world he lived, Seven Oaks was his favorite.
