Santa Susana Field Lab (SSFL) cleanup activist, Christina Walsh is in the process of forming a Community Advisory Group (CAG) now, and invites anyone interested to take part.
Christina Walsh says, “We have decided that we don’t need the California Department of Toxic Substances Control’s (DTSC) “recognition” of our CAG, to exist. We are now working with all the regulators and Responsible Parties (RPs) and look forward to continued dialogue and debate, as we find our way through important issues, with all voices of concern being respected and valued.”
The next online meeting (through WEBEX) is on August 4th. For more info, go to Christina Walsh’s website: www.CleanupRocketdyne.org For previous posts on the efforts to start a group, use the search box. FYI, Christina sent out a similar message at the Yahoo Group, Rocketdyne Information Society a few days ago.
I continue to post about the SSFL cleanup because, to me, it is a regional issue. I think that the cleanup is so complex and vast that the public would be well served to have a number of groups advocating to the various agencies, and that is why I support the CAG formation.
