I have chuckled when I hear friends speak of “My Gelsons,” or “My Ralphs,” as though the stores were their very own. Well, now I know where they were coming from! “My Starbucks” is closed right now for renovation and equipment upgrade. According to the www.OakParkUpdate.com, the store will reopen on Friday, 7-23.
It is not that I drink coffee, because I don’t, but I find this Starbucks (along with other locations, and some bagel places), a nice place to hang out occasionally. The patio at this location is also a meet-up place for dog owners with their dogs, from large labs to tiny terriers, and I enjoy seeing them. I wonder where they are meeting while the upgrade is going on?
Oh well, it is back to work for me, and then maybe a break at some alternate place, like a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I have heard good things about them.
