I realize now, that I should be checking with the Thousand Oaks City Clerk for the most up-to-date list of city council candidates who have gotten papers to run for office, and possibly filed them. This came to my attention, when Councilmember Claudia Bill de la Pena emailed yesterday evening, to say that she had taken out papers for a city council position, even though she was not on the Ventura County Election Division list.
I called the T.O. City Clerk’s office about 4:45, and am hoping to get a call back today with the latest list, but it is looking like I will have to call again tomorrow. Sorry, Claudia, for leaving you off the candidates’ list!
