I just got back from a visit to family out-of-state (where I had a great time, playing with grandchildren and honorary grandchildren).
I flew out of fun and quirky Burbank again. I love it…from the depiction of a smiling Bob Hope as you enter, to the statue of Amelia Earhardt, to the old stewardess hats on display!
The photo above, was taken out the airplane window, and of course, even that view is different from most airports, because of the portable stairs on the tarmac that BUR still uses. On the flight back late morning yesterday, we flew over the Palmdale fire. Oh my! It was generating so much smoke, and it looked like a very long fire line, with at least six or eight separate fires burning at a distance from each other. We could also see some freeway nearby, where there must have been a huge accident. The backup in both directions from a central point, went further than I could see.
I miss my kids and grandkids and the good time we had, but it is also good to be home!

I am glad you had a fun time. Burbank makes flying almost fun again.
