Let’s Hear It for the Candidates!

August 10th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Conejo Valley, Elections, Lake Sherwood, Oak Park, Thousand Oaks, Triuinfo Sanitation District, Ventura County

With the filing period closed for the November election, it is time to do a candidate count.  There are two especially crowded political races in Ventura County.  At the Ventura County Elections Division website, there are thirteen candidates listed as filing to run for the Thousand Oaks City Council, with three seats up for election.  The three incumbents, Claudia Bill de la Pena, Dennis Gillette, and Tom Glancy are included in that number.  The other crowded race is for the four seats up for election on the Triunfo Sanitation District board.  Eleven candidates have filed to run for TSD, including me, the incumbent.

It is great to see all the interest in local government, and it should be a banner year for election signs!
