Calling California candidates and political junkies…here is the order of the alphabet for candidate listings on the ballot this November.
I just talked with a staff person at the Ventura County Elections Division, who gave me the alphabet order that was drawn by the California Secretary of State’s office for the ballots. It is: R T Y C W O K G B E J V L F S P Q Z N M I A W X D H.
Wow, this brings back all those years of school when students were alphabetized according to their last name! Being an “O”, I wasn’t last, but I was in the last half of the alphabet. Being a candidate in November with an early letter is so sweet! Phil Schmidt, former Clerk/Recorder stopped by our booth today & said he had been at the office watching the drawing of the alphabetical order this morning. He was his usual jovial self and seemed happy in retirement.
