Actually A State Alphabet Drawing and Individual County Drawings On Thursday

August 13th, 2010 · No Comments · Elections, Ventura County

I just happened to be at the Ventura County Elections Division yesterday, late morning, when an alphabet drawing was taking place there. It turns out that the CA Secretary of State’s office draws the letter order for candidates on the November election for all offices in the state except for the State Assemblycandidates, and those are done individually by individual county elections divisions for districts in their county. Ventura County’s newly elected Clerk/Recorder, Mark Lunn was there at the drawing which took place at the long public counter in the office.  Monica Terrones, Deputy County Clerk, who is so helpful to candidates and electeds in regard to filing procedures, had the honor of drawing the letters for the Assembly candidates’ names on the ballot.  (Please see Sandy’s comment on the previous post about the letter drawings.)
