Reading through the 6-25 Acorn, I came across a legal notice from the Agoura Hills Planning Department. There’s going to be a public hearing on an appeal for a Conditional Use Permit for the Senor Carlos Grill & Tequila Lounge/Rockin’ Steakhouse on 7-8.Â
This grill/lounge/steakhouse already has a sign up in a small shopping center on Canwood Road, east of Reyes Adobe, 101 Freeway interchange.
One thing I am curious about is, what is this establishment? Is it a grill our a lounge or a steakhouse? The sign says, “Rockin’ Steakhouse.” The appeal is in regard to a CUP to expand the live entertainment floor area (what is that… a dance floor?), to amend the hours of live entertainment (does that mean to increase?), and to allow dance lessons.
I am so curious, I think I will show up for the meeting on the 8th. Here is a link to a letter to The Acorn on 6-11, from Mary Wiesbrock, about this appeal: http://www.theacorn.com/news/2009/0611/letters/010.html

Just a small side note regarding Senor Carlos/Rockin Steakhouse. This establishment which started out as Agoura Bistro, transformed into señor carlos and is now rockin’ steakhouse has consistenty had some of the worst food I have ever tasted. The head chef as he calls himself has now made 3 attepts at unsuccesful fare. Please give up!! You aren’t qualified to run a kitchen.

In Response to Larry David:
You are so right the food has been horrible. my husband where the only two in there during the height of the dinner hour. all we could do to salvage the evening is joke how nice it would be to have Chef Ramsey shout, “You donkey!” Nothing will come of this place as long as the food is so bad.
