Yesterday, Ventura and Ojai beckoned my granddaughter and I. We headed for Ventura’s harbor first, to fill up on Andrea’s best-in-the world fish and chips.
I feel like such an insider at Andrea’s, because I know that if I order 1 piece of fish, they will give me three! While that can be a meal for two, if you order the chips, too, it didn’t make a dent in our hunger. I actually had to order another piece of fish, before we decided where to head next.
The fog had rolled in to Ventura as we were enroute, so we decided to head up to Ojai for some sun. Taking Creek Road off Highway 33, we approached this roadside fruit stand. We stopped, and I bought a small sack full of gold and red plums for a $1. Payment was easy…just push the dollar in the slot of the wooden cash box. The plums aren’t ripe yet, and I am hoping they are as good to eat, as they were fun to buy!
