An article in the 8-29 VC Star reported that over 1400 folks worked on 108 volunteer projects this summer in Ventura County, according to Camarillo’s Action Foundation. They came from 24 churches. The article did not say how many volunteers and projects were in the Conejo Valley, but they did describe work going on at Park Oaks Elementary School in Thousand Oaks. Around 100 folks from five churches have taken part in the Park Oaks project.
