OK, so this is not about the Conejo Valley, but it is about 1 of our neighbors just to the north of us.
The headline above a Moorpark City Council candidate’s photo was puzzling, in today’s Ventura County Star (5-20-09), because it did not match the photo.
The headline said, “Pollock takes early lead in Moorpark,” and then there was a photo of candidate David Bagwell checking election results on his computer. The headline below the photo said, “Council race is too close to call,” so maybe that is why The Star did not print a photo of frontrunner David Pollock, or second place Nathan Sweet, at the time of reporting.
Well, results are now in and David Pollock, a director of program development with the California School Board Association won the short-time Council seat. His term lasts through next year. Here is the latest story in The Star, as of 5:25 PM, http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2009/may/21/pollock-elected-to-moorpark-city-council-seat/
