Roxy’s Famous Deli in Thousand Oaks was scheduled to close its doors last night (6-25), after 20 years of business on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, near Rancho Road. According to an article in the 6-24 VC Star, owner Constantino Papanicolaou said he is looking to reopen the deli in another location, possibly remaining in the Conejo Valley, or moving to Camarillo or Calabasas.
In the meantime, a property manager for the old Roxy’s space, says that a new restaurant tenant is already lined up, and Roxy owner Papanicolaou has offered work to former employees at his other Conejo Valley restaurant, the Napa Tavern.
The location of the Napa Tavern is at the corner of Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Westlake Boulevard, and the restaurant was formerly known as The Napa Grill. Papanicolaou also owns furniture store, Urban Home, according to the VC Star article. To read the VC Star article by Rachel McGrath, go to: VC Star, 6-24-11, Roxy’s Closing in T.O.
