While writing the post about the new lion princess in the Santa Monica Mountains, I started worrying about the possibility of running into her or some of her kin while hiking. Thank goodness, I just read a press release from the National Park Service! In the NPS release, it said that there have been NO reports of bad interactions between people and lions in the National Recreation Area, and lion sitings are extremely rare. Whew!
