My friend, Sue wrote the following, and I wanted to share it with you:
“In the mid sixties, takng a shortcut to a seminar through one of the old U.S. Senate office buildings, I got lost. Continuing to move rapidly, I solidly collided with two men stepping off a rickety old brass-cage elevator in a narrow dead-end hall. They immediately began picking up the books I had been carrying and apologizing for the accident.
As they returned my books, I tried to thank them and say that it was completely my fault – then I recognized Ted and Bobby Kennedy. I almost fainted. They both had smiles that went straight to my heart.
Needless to say, with my heart racing and difficulty breathing, speech became impossible. As they walked away, I realized I had just run into two of the most gracious people I had ever met.”

How lucky for her! Fortunately, based on the legislation that the Kennedys authored, I feel like we have all met them in a way because their thoughts and ideas affect all Americans.
