Conejo Post

A horse show at the Conejo Creek Equestrian Park is half over this Saturday evening, but that means there is still half to go tomorrow.  According to an announcement in The Ventura County Star’s  8-28 Timeout section, the event is called, Show for the Gold and it is sponsored by the Greater Los Angeles Paint Horse Club.  Tomorrow, it will be an all-Western program with 38 contests, at the park at 1350 Avenida de Las Flores in Thousand Oaks. 

The article says that visitors can watch from a “shaded grandstand,” and it is free and starts at 8 AM.  ”Shaded” sounds really wonderful to me, since my car thermometer read 104 this afternoon, and the show sounds like fun!  Here is a link to the sponsoring group:  http://www.glapaintclub.com/Home.html
