July 17th, 2011 · No Comments · Agoura Hills, Conejo Valley, Development, Economy, Green, Outdoors, Ventura County

Love Triumphs for Those who Belong to Royalty and for Those Who Work in the Fields

April 30th, 2011 · No Comments · Conejo Valley, Meditations, Ventura County

On my visit to the Ventura County Clerk’s office yesterday, I got to be blessed by watching couples apply for marriage licenses while I stood in line. I could see  hope and expectation and nervousness in their faces, as they got ready to take the life-changing step.  Two couples stand out in my mind.  One man and woman stood [...]

First Strawberries

April 28th, 2011 · No Comments · California, Conejo Valley, Green, Outdoors, Ventura County

Victory over critters in my backyard!  I beat them to the first strawberry of the year!  This morning I spotted a red-ripe, untouched strawberry from one of the 3 little plants that are growing in a flower bed, and picked it. I was thrilled to pop it in my mouth and savor the sweetness, instead of having to [...]

Wind, Wind, Go Away

April 26th, 2011 · No Comments · Conejo Valley, Meditations, Outdoors, Ventura County

Combine the wind of this morning, with the pollen from everything blooming, and it equals allergies for a lot of people, me included.  My morning walk ended early, because of allergy symptoms…nonstop caughing due to a tickle in my throat. So, rain, snow and sleet won’t keep my from my morning walk, but wind and [...]
